Evenson "It's
a bit like an illness," says Carey, about her voracious
appetite for media. She joined C+C in 2008, bringing
with her eight years of media relations and marketing
communications experience. From her writing expertise
to her deep understanding of how the media works, Carey
has a special talent for bringing complex issues into
the public discourse. She's worked on a wide range of
local and national issues, applying her strengths in
PR planning, campaign execution, coalition building and
project management to generate tremendous successes for
her clients. Carey has worked with Seattle Public Utilities,
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Washington
Education Association, and the Washington State Department
of Health. She also led national media outreach for EPA's
ENERGY STAR Change a Light, Change the World campaign,
and for EPA's Best Workplaces for Commuters program.
Wielding a deft pen, Carey has written everything from
press materials, communication plans and radio/TV scripts,
to talking points, newsletters and web content. Her trophy
case includes six PRSA Totem Awards and a PRSA Silver
Anvil Award of Excellence for her work.
