BECU Bow Down to Washington

What do sax-great Kenny G, travel guru Rick Steves, basketball star Nate Robinson and comedian Nancy Guppy have in common? They all went to the University of Washington and they all showcased their singing skills while belting out the UW fight song in a video for BECU. In 2011, BECU was preparing to launch a UW-themed debit card and wanted to create buzz with a catchy video and they brought in C+C to produce it. The video went viral generating more than 30,000 views by UW afficiandos, was featured in the New York Times and exceeded BECU’s goal for new members by a whopping 1,800%.
